Every year municipalities and private industries sponsor holiday light displays for people young and old to enjoy.  Your local town center may have a Christmas tree lighting.  This event is part of the marketing plan to assist with businesses in that shopping center to boost holiday shopping and food sales.  Even with COVID-19 still with us during the holiday season, small town Christmas tree lightings and large drive through displays have decided to carry on with the yearly tradition.

This blog contains some of the “GRAND ILLUMINATION” displays in the state of Virginia and Maryland.  There have been employees of these facilities who have been working tirelessly in the last few months removing items from storage, planning layouts and rolling out wiring, so that patrons can have a little joy this year.  This is a safe activity for the family, because most of the displays are drive through.  Many safety measures are being follow because of the pandemic, so “click” on the listing for detailed information.  HAVE FUN!
